Women Who Paddle is looking to grow our website!
We’re looking for submissions from you, our community, in order to create a diverse resource base that appeals to female paddlers of all skill levels and backgrounds. If you have something to share, please review the submission guidelines and get in touch!
Women Who Paddle covers all types of paddle sports including kayaking, canoeing, SUP, whitewater rafting, and packrafting. The broad goals of our blog are to inspire readers, and share knowledge among our community. To provide a bit of guidance for those of you looking to contribute, here’s a breakdown of each category we feature on the site:
Stories From the Water: We want real stories from real women. Do you have a memorable paddling experience? A most embarrassing moment? A time on the water that was fun, scary, meaningful, or impacted you in a specific way? The sky is the limit here. We want to hear all about your paddling experiences!
Tips, Advice, and Guides: We believe knowledge is power, especially when it comes to getting out on the water safely. In this section, we’re looking for articles that provide the know-how and info that paddlers need. This could cover anything from paddling skills, how to pack a boat, an overview on safety gear, or any other useful information.
Trip Reports: Have you done a multi-day paddling trip? Traveled to an awesome paddling destination? Have a great spot for a trip in your own backyard? We’d love to share it with others! We’d like trip reports to include: an overview; details on difficulty, distance, time required, etc.; need-to-know info; and links to resources that will help others do this trip themselves.
Gear Reviews: Help out your fellow paddlers with honest reviews of paddling gear. We’d like reviews to include: an overview of the product; features and specs; where, when, and how it was tested; an honest account of the pros and cons; and whether you would recommend it to others or not.
Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to provide monetary compensation for contributions. All contributors will have the chance to provide an author bio and links to their websites and/or social media channels to be featured along with their article.
Please submit all contributions via email to: email@example.com
